Our hospital
At Lady Davidson Private Hospital it is our people, our knowledge, our experience and our values that set us apart from other rehabilitation facilities.
The original hospital was built in 1920 by the Department of Defence to treat ex-servicemen who had contracted tuberculosis during World War 1. The then remote site, on Bobbin Head Road in North Turramurra, was chosen for its proximity to Ku-ring-gai Chase which the Department of Defence felt would offer the returning servicemen a restful place in which to recover.
Lady Davidson is the largest private teaching rehabilitation facility in Australia with 115 patient-beds for both veterans and private patients.
We have 4 rehabilitation units under the care of Rehabilitation Physicians who specialise in Orthopaedic, Neurology, Spine and Cancer rehabilitation. Every patient is individually assessed and a tailored program developed to meet their rehabilitation needs.
